About VoyAhead

Plan less, travel more.

VoyAhead exists because trip planning got worse, not better. There is more travel information online than ever and less of it is useful — the same fifteen listicles, rewritten, ranked by whoever paid the most, telling you a city has "a vibrant food scene."

We built the opposite thing: a tool that asks where you're going and builds you a guide for that trip. Not a city page with your destination pasted into the headline.

What it actually does

You tell it where you're coming from, where you're going, when you land, how you travel, and what you care about. It builds a guide around that.

It arrives in two parts. The first — the at-a-glance summary, what to do before you leave, how to get from the airport to where you're staying — comes back fast and is already useful on its own. The second part loads behind a "keep reading" button: what to do, local know-how, phrases worth knowing, and the mistakes people make in that specific place.

You can ask it questions. Anything about your trip, answered in a couple of sentences, using what it already knows about where you're going.

You can share it. Any guide becomes a link you can send to whoever you're traveling with. Share links stay live for 180 days and then expire on their own.

How we make money

VoyAhead is free to use and funded by affiliate commissions. When we recommend something and you buy it through our link, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

We plan to add advertising later. When we do, we'll say so here and update our Cookie Policy before any ad runs — not after.

Here's how the commission part works, plainly:

  • Commission never buys a recommendation or a ranking.
  • We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive mention.
  • We say when something isn't worth buying, including when the cheaper option beats the one that pays us more.
  • Our coverage is not exhaustive. There are good products we haven't gotten to.

How it's built, and what that means for you

Your guide is written by AI. Specifically, OpenAI's API assembles it from your inputs, combined with real place data and climate records. No person reviews it before you see it.

We're telling you this on the About page rather than burying it, because it changes how you should read a guide. AI writes confidently even when it's wrong. A guide is a strong starting point that saves you hours of searching — it is not a verified document.

So: verify anything with consequences. Visa and entry rules, health requirements, insurance coverage, schedules, prices. Check them with the airline, the hotel, the insurer, or the embassy. We build the guide to point you at those sources rather than pretend to replace them.

What we don't do with your data. We don't store the details you enter — they go to OpenAI, the guide comes back, and nothing is kept. Nothing is stored at all unless you create a share link, and that expires in 180 days. We set no cookies and run no analytics. The Privacy Policy has the specifics, including every third party involved.

Who we are

VoyAhead is an independent travel publisher, operated as a small business registered in California, United States. We are not owned by a booking platform, a media group, or a private equity portfolio — which is why we can tell you when the expensive option isn't worth it.

We are not a travel agency. We don't sell travel, take your payment, or have a stake in which provider you choose.

The tool is available in English and Spanish.
